2009 Rules & By-Laws
 
Tournament Rules
 
1. All teams will receive individual tournament rules before each tournament. They may be emailed, posted or handed out what ever the director decides
 
2.  Tournament director has the right to change the format at any time
 
3.  All teams must be registered and paid by the Tuesday before the tournament
 
4.  All players must bring photo ID to the tournament
 
5.  All teams must check in and have each individual player check in.
 
6. Posted game time is forfeit time
 
Roster Rules
 
1.  All teams must have their roster online before the tournament. NO Roster = No Play
 
2.  Rosters will be checked at the tournament for Illegal players
 
3.  State director will be using USSSA online player database to verify players eligibility
 
4.  Play in other associations doesn't not effect player eligibility    
 
5.  All Rosters are frozen 1 week after the state tournament for that class whether you qualified for nationals or not
 
6.  You may be on multiple teams but once one of those teams you are on qualifies, you can not play for any other team except that team.  
Classification Rules
 
1.  2009 Mandatory Reclassifications: B&F TIRE must play Men’s D, Doggie Stylin must play Womens’s C.  RTD Reloaded, Spikes Trophy and Gamecocks still must play USSSA Mens D
 
2.  Teams that are reclassified by mandatory move up will not be allowed to drop  back if they do not play in the calendar year
 
3.  If you have 4 or more people on your roster that were mandatory move ups your team must play at the higher level.
 
4. Teams reclassified by the By-laws must participate in their new classification for a period of one (1) year. (Note: Any team reclassified by the By- laws with four (4) or more players from the previous year’s roster must participate in their new classification for a period of one (1) year; however, teams reclassified by the By-laws may make an appeal to be reinstated to it’s former
classification only after the team has played a minimum of four (4) tournaments.
 
5.  Teams not reclassified by the By-laws that want to appeal their classification may do so between February 1 and March 1 and/or June 1 and July 1.
Teams reclassified by appeal between February 1 and March 1 may be reclassified by the State Director after the team plays four (4)USSSA sanctioned tournaments or June 1 whichever occurs first. Teams appealing between June
1 and July 1 must have played in four (4) USSSA sanctioned tournaments. Appeals must be filled out on the official USSSA appeal form and submitted to the Division Vice President. The appeal will be reviewed by Division Vice
President, Executive Vice President and Assistant Executive Director
